A final 098 writing mini-paper
The goal of your final writing assignment for English 098 this semester is to write a letter-- we will call it a letter to the living. In this letter, I want you to share something you're burning to tell the world. This paper may be cathartic, painful, joyful, nostalgic, angry, hopeful-- you choose the tone. What you must do is to open your mind and maybe your heart and imagine for a moment that you knew today was your last day before being abducted by aliens for Martians to study your behavior (let's not go morbid with death, as some teachers may do here). Who would you write a letter to? It doesn't have to have a specific person as an audience-- maybe it's to the world, your children, your SO, your best friend, a political party, the president... What do you have to say? What would be left unsaid if you were not here?
You are not required to share this paper with anyone other than me, unless you want to share it with others, so feel free to write from the heart. All I require for this paper is that:

- You pay attention to grammar, punctuation, spelling, sentence style, sentence boundaries
- It is at least 250 words
- It is focused-- what are you burning to tell-- the world? a specific person? a specific group?
- Single spaced, Times New Roman, 12 point font
